Kubotek offers a broad range of capabilities in detailing, associativity and automation. Each of those topics is explained on dedicated pages within this Drafting section. What we haven't covered on those pages are two very important areas to the drafting function: compatibility and printing. Those capabilities are described below.

Additional Value in Kubotek Drafting Technology
A 2005 Kubotek survey showed that a majority of companies use the AutoCAD DWG and DXF formats to exchange mechanical CAD drawings. Kubotek technology is continually updated to provide support to read and write drawings in the latest versions of these formats as well as the standard IGES format. Kubotek also provides the ability to output drawings in popular PDF, HPGL, and image formats.

Kubotek is the only CAD/CAM company with complete and accurate support to read drawings from the popular CADKEY PRT fileformat. Kubotek also provides viewer software to read design files and drawings generated by Kubotek products.

Printing
Kubotek has not overlooked the fact that complete control over the printing process is very important to the practice of drafting. Kubotek provides an extensive set of printing and custom header and footer options that can be configured and saved to a file. Loading saved printer configurations provides the needed support for multiple types of network printers, moving settings to a new PC, and sharing them throughout a workgroup.
