Some model features such as holes and blends (fillets or rounds) have universal
definitions regardless of the user's perspective on the part. These types of
features have basic parameters that can be adjusted without ambiguity
regardless of perspective, construction history, or the system the solid was
originally designed. Unique Kubotek technology supports searching solids for
such features, even filtering for size range or simply selecting single
features with the cursor. Once features are discovered, users simply type new
values into parameter fields to have features automatically update to the new
size. This important technology means that any solid model, regardless of file
format, can be modified with ease.
Holes
Machined holes for fasteners come in standard forms and sizes. Kubotek
technology dynamically recognizes sets of faces that form each type of hole and
extracts the feature parameters for editing. Users can then enter new values or
select new standard sizes or hole types from a customizable library of holes.
Additional time-saving capabilities support discovering patterns, copying holes
to other locations, and updating the parameters of selected holes to match a
base hole.

Blends
Kubotek real geometry editing technology supports the editing of constant radius blends by selecting one face in the blend and entering a new radius value. This technology provides obvious time savings over removing the blend faces and re-creating the blend feature. In more complex cases where blends of different radii overlap, the Kubotek advantage is magnified as blend edit technology automatically resolves multiple layers in order dependency. Blends in multi-face surface bodies can also be edited the same way, potentially saving hours of frustrating work.
